1. Data controller

Pharmacy Times Nigeria is the organisation responsible for personal data processed on PTN Learn.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed), and profile details you provide.
• Learning data: enrolments, lesson progress, assessment results, and certificates.
• Commerce data: order records, payment status, and refund requests (card details are handled by payment providers; we do not store full card numbers).
• Technical data: device/browser information, IP address, and basic usage logs needed to secure and operate the service.
• Support data: messages you send to our support emails.

3. Why we use your data

• To create and manage your learner, tutor, or staff account.
• To deliver courses, track progress, and issue verifiable certificates.
• To process payments, receipts, and refund requests.
• To respond to support requests and protect against fraud or misuse.
• To improve Platform reliability and meet legal or regulatory duties in Nigeria.

4. Lawful basis

We process personal data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the learning service), where we have a legitimate interest in securing and improving the Platform, where you consent (for optional communications), or where Nigerian law requires us to retain or disclose information.

5. Sharing

We may share data with trusted processors who help us run the Platform, such as hosting, email delivery, and payment providers (for example Paystack or Flutterwave). They may only use data to provide services to us. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by Nigerian law, a court, or a competent authority.

6. International transfers

Some infrastructure or vendors may process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps consistent with the NDPA to protect your information.

7. Retention

We keep account and learning records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for certificates, audit, dispute, or legal retention needs. Payment and refund records may be kept longer where finance or tax rules require it.

8. Your rights

Subject to the NDPA, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion in appropriate cases, restriction or objection to certain processing, and information about how we use your data. To exercise these rights, email support@pharmacytimesnigeria.com from your registered address. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures such as encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls. No online service is completely secure; please use a strong unique password and keep it private.

10. Children

PTN Learn is intended for pharmacy professionals and adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 for this service.

11. Changes

We may update this policy periodically. The “Last updated” date will change when we publish revisions. Significant changes may also be highlighted on the Platform.
